Pulpit Supply

Doug is gifted pulpit teacher who consistently links his messages to contemporary daily life through biblical texts, the best current sources in psychology, ethics, sociology, theology, history, societal trends, and world issues.  His Teachings offer practical guidance for living a deep, rich spiritual life, embracing practices of prayer and meditation that ground meaning and purpose, and engaging life with authenticity, the highest moral values, and centering one's inner being with calm, clarity, compassion, curiosity, confidence, courage, gratitude, and generosity.  He weaves stories, lessons from wisdom traditions, poetry, literature, and mystical teachings into his messages and post-service discussions.

  •   Having "been there and done that," Doug is particularly interested in assisting with the need of parish clergy in solo practices who have difficulty getting away for study leave, vacation, or family time over long weekends and for whom budgetary constraints complicate leaves.
  • Doug is available as a guest Teacher (preacher) for a single Sunday or a series of Teachings.
